ABOUT NRW LAW
Premier Trial and Appellate Advocacy
Neville, Richards & Wuller, LLC serves national, state and local clients in courts throughout Central and Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri. The firm’s six lawyers and support staff are dedicated to furnishing elite trial and appellate advocacy.
Trial may be the only option—whether the matter involves an auto accident, medical malpractice, personal injury, toxic tort, class action, contract or an insurance policy question. An experienced and effective trial lawyer, well versed in appellate practice, is simply non-negotiable. The ability to prepare and try a case is certainly essential if the case decided in court, but also if the case is negotiated and settled. How can one bargain with power and credibility without the ability and weapons to “back it up”? Those that do so fail, and will almost always fail. This is especially critical in high-dollar claims involving contract, insurance, death or catastrophic injuries—the type of litigation handled by our firm for decades.
Neville, Richards & Wuller, LLC understands the value of a cohesive “team approach”. It certainly sounds good, and actually, it is good. But in the final analysis, winning depends on the performance of a single individual—who is efficiently and thoroughly supported by a team. Our firm has been designed with the knowledge that every legal task, whether involving contract interpretation or the cross-examination of a Harvard-educated opposing expert, requires individual ability, judgment and experience, supported by a team dedicated to achieving the best results possible for the client.
The St. Louis “Metro East” area is nationally recognized as a hostile venue for defendants. Throughout the last 30+ years, members of the firm have distinguished themselves as among the top trial and appellate lawyers in this region, handling first and third-party insurance cases, medical malpractice, personal injury, toxic tort, class action, and virtually all other tort litigation. Their experience and track record in courtrooms have earned them the respect for excellence among clients, colleagues and the judiciary. Their skill and high ethical standards have earned them an AV rating*, the highest rating awarded to law firms by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating process.
Year after year, Neville, Richards & Wuller, LLC has been named to the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys. Our firm has been selected by Best’s Recommended Insurance Attorneys and the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. We have members in Super Lawyers, Litigation Counsel of America, Leading Lawyers, ABOTA and the American College of Trial Lawyers—all organizations recognizing accomplished trial and appellate lawyers.
We are not a large, behemoth law firm—by choice. Declining merger invitations by outside mega-firms, the firm has maintained its independence, nimble and efficient size and local character. Neville, Richards & Wuller, LLC has become an established and respected part of the litigation topography in Central and Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri. Members of the firm have tried high exposure cases throughout this region, and have handled appeals in the Illinois Supreme Court, Illinois Appellate Court, U.S. Circuit Courts for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits, as well as the Missouri Appellate Courts.
The attorneys and staff at Neville, Richards & Wuller, LLC consider the relationship with each client a partnership, with open and frank communication, ultimate trust and a true unity of interests. The firm has earned a reputation of going “the extra mile” for every client in every case.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS
Professional Support at Neville, Richards & Wuller, LLC
Being a legal secretary is one of the most difficult administrative positions known to mankind. The job requires patience, skill and intensity, astute negotiating skills, and the multi-tasking abilities of an air traffic controller simultaneously cutting a valuable diamond on a roller-coaster while being attacked by bees. We value and respect our legal assistants here. They literally “do it all”—communicate with clients, experts and co-parties, coordinating depositions, meetings and events with dozens of other attorneys, type, retype, file, and keep abreast of filing fees and other requirements for an innumerable number of courts. Truly, a legal secretary is a utility infielder. And ours are great.
